Instantly thickens liquids and pureed foods. Brand hospitals buy most often. Resource ThickenUp is an instant food and beverage thickener for people with swallowing problems (called Dysphagia). Thickens hot and cold foods and beverages to any consistency quickly ad easily, and will not alter their taste. 1 tablespoon = 1/4 fruit exchange. Carbohydrate metabolizes like fruit sugar.

Directions
1. Measure recommended amount of ThickenUp using level measuring spoon. 2. Slowly add ThickenUp to liquid while stirring briskly. Stir for 15 seconds. Liquid will reach desired consistency in 1-5 minutes. Note: When thickening liquids in bulk quantities, stir for 30 seconds. Product can be prepared using a blender at Low speed for 60 seconds. Stir again briefly before serving. Liquid Usage Chart: Desired Consistency: 4 fl oz Serving (measured amounts of thickener may vary according to liquid used and its serving temperature): Nectar-like: orange juice (2-1/2 tsp), apple juice (1 T), cranberry juice (1 T), milk (1 T & 1 tsp), water (1 T & 1 tsp), coffee/tea (1 T & 1 tsp); honey-like: orange juice (1 T & 1/2 tsp), apple juice (1 T & 1 tsp), cranberry juice (1 T & 1 tsp), milk (1 T & 1-1/2 tsp), water (1 T & 1-1/2 tsp), coffee/tea (1 T & 1-1/2 tsp). pudding (spoon-thick): orange juice (1 T & 1-1/2 tsp), apple juice (1 T & 2 tsp), cranberry juice (1 T & 2 tsp), milk (2 T), water (2 T), coffee/tea (2 T). Note: 3 teaspoons = 1 tablespoon.
